The Advantage India Conclave in Kolkata on December 12th was a huge success. Professionals from various backgrounds were in attendance at the event. The list of attendees includes IIM and IIT graduates, entrepreneurs, bureaucrats, corporates and more. There was several keynote sessions and panel discussions planned for the event along with networking opportunities for young and aspiring professionals.
This conclave was hosted in memory of former Indian President and Missile Man, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. His last book, Advantage India, was also unveiled at the Kolkata enclave by the speakers and other guests present at the event.
The highlight of the event was an opening keynote speech by Srijan Pal Singh. He shared some fascinating statistics on mankind's progress and spoke about the importance of opportunities and how to take advantage of the opportunities that might present themselves in your life. There was also an inspiring video message from Nitin Gadkari that highlighted the various contributions that scholars have made towards our ongoing development.
As part of the panel discussions, the pressing issue of role media plays in the civil society was discussed. This discussion featured Mr. Anirbun from 24Ghanta. There was also a heated debate in a discussion on Bullet Train vs. Basic Needs which was headed by MBA Sabjivala.
The conclave also provided a great platform for budding entrepreneurs to showcase and speak about their ventures and also share their ideas with the people present at the event. One of the entrepreneurs who presented their venture also received a smart-fund.
It wasn't all serious talk however, at the Advantage India Conclave. The attendees thoroughly enjoyed stand-up comedy session by Comedified and sang along to some melodic tunes presented by national level singer, Rahul Sarma.
