Interview with Parth Shah - CEO at Para Marketingg | Mumbai

Q. Mr Parth, please tell us about yourself and your journey towards founding your entrepreneurial venture 'Para Marketing'

I am MBA in Marketing from Brandies University International Business School(USA), Bachelor's of Engineering in Information Technology(University of Mumbai).

My journey in marketing began with my first entrepreneurial venture " Walking Media". I founded this company in 2011 when I was in my second year of engineering.The company was named after its first product walking media - wearable media. This product was an innovation that allowed to watch videos,listen to music,use camera and mic on regular cotton T-Shirt.The company was later laid off market due to further education.

I later worked in Advertising industry with Ronak Advertising. At Ronak created an event called" HOT CAREERS" which was an education, career event.Event got good media coverage and also more than 3000 footfalls. During my MBA, I worked for myself to create a brand " Parth Shah" at Brandies University International Business School. I was successful in marketing myself with 40% viewership in one and half day of marketing, brand "Parth Shah" got recognised as innovative,entrepreneurial, marketing mad, and creative. I also worked as an intern with SetMeUp,Inc. a dating app company. Later was offered a job where I worked as Marketing Research Associate. My work was in marketing research for Global Launch. I helped company in Branding, and marketing. Later feeling homesick and not enthusiastic about continuing to stay in USA, I moved back to India and started working for CALL FIXIE (Jaarvis) as a Marketing Executive. I was able to get 12-15% lead growth every week. My work also included designing pamphlets, branding, marketing planning and offers and price. After being convinced India is now the right place for venture and has market acceptance, I was sure to being my second innings with entrepreneurial venture " Para Marketing".

The company name is dedicated to my parents with their initials. Para Marketingg is an consulting,strategy and planning company. We are moving to outsourcing Marketing as a whole from companies to dedicated and experienced marketers to provide result oriented strategy and planning along with implementation.

My 5+ years of International and National marketing experience along with startup experience helps me in understanding client from his/her perspective and proving the best strategy and planning to reach the customers and completing goals.

Q. What was your Eureka moment before pivoting to Para Marketingg?
Eureka Moment for me was when i started working for Call Fixie and realised a problem in industry and how i can solve that to help companies reach right target audience with right message.

Q. In 25 words or less, what are you all about? What problem do you solve and for whom?
I am all about logical thinking. I solve any problem faced by companies in marketing.Any problem can be solved with brainstorming and when experience is added with out of box thinking the outcome is just exemplary.

Q. How do you make money (or plan to make money)?  Who are your primary customers and why do they choose you?
Our Primary customers are Start-ups to mid size business facing Marketing problem. They choose us because of understanding, Consistency, Easy to talk, Creativity. Our focus is also in Companies of any size with Marketing Problems.
Q. What are your marketing channels? How do you use social media for marketing? What are the platforms you primarily use for marketing? Have you outsourced your social media marketing or plans for future?
We use the best marketing channel - Word-Of-Mouth.
